May 1st is the deadline for the parish reports from the parish strategic planning meetings. These reports of the "Positive Core of What is Working" and "What it would look like if it could work even better" will be compiled in a matrix and shared with the parish strategic planning teams. The Committee on Parishes will use the information to draft a diocesan strategic plan, this draft will also be shared with the parish teams. After receiving comments and suggestions from the parishes, the Committee on Parishes will present a revised copy of the plan to the Presbyteral Council and the Diocesan Staff. Following this consultation Bishop Zipfel will publish a final Strategic Plan for the Diocese. In January of 2009 parish planning teams will again receive training in preparation for developing a strategic plan for each parish.
During Lent of 2009 parishioners will be invited to provide input for the parish plan. The parish plans will be completed by May 1, 2009. Implementation of the parish and diocesan plans will begin, no later than July 1, 2009.

July 24, 2008---Committee on Parishes completes draft diocesan plan and shares with parishes
August-September-review of draft plan by parishes
October-review of draft plan by consulting groups
December 1, 2008---Diocesan Plan published
January, 2009---parish planning teams trained for writing parish plans
Lent, 2009---parishioners involved in writing parish plan
May 1, 2009---draft parish plans reported to the Bishop
July 1, 2009---parish and diocesan plans are finalized and implemented
Ongoing annual reports and updating of the implementation of the plans
