Emmaus Place is an 8-plex apartment style residence for retired priests offering full care with a resident manager. This coordinator of retired priest care services, in addition to management of the Emmaus Place, is dedicated to the support of priest care and retired clergy needs including medical, long-term care, health insurance, Medicare and retirement issues throughout their retirement years.
Emmaus Place was constructed and opened to the first residents in the fall of 1986. Mass is celebrated daily in the chapel by the priests who are not celebrating mass while assisting at a parish or one of the community nursing homes. Appointments can be made with a priest for the celebration of the sacrament of reconciliation, anointing of the sick or for Mass stipends for a loved one. The facility has two 4-car garage stalls, an exercise room, TV room, kitchen and dining room. The care of our priests is supported by the generous donations from the God’s Share Appeal, gifts and bequests and the generous donations of fish, wild game, garden produce, plants and home-prepared food from members of the community and diocese. Visits, cards, letters and phone calls are appreciated by the priests. Your prayers and support are appreciated. They pray daily for all of you, the members of the Diocese of Bismarck.
Emmaus Place is located at 1020 N. 26th St., Bismarck, ND 58501
