Those hoping to see the historic ordination of six men to the priesthood in the Bismarck Diocese can tune into KFYR’s Me-TV at 3 p.m. CDT on June 13 for a live television broadcast of the event.
Me-TV is available on the following overthe- air channels: 5.2 in Bismarck, 10.2 in Minot, 8.2 in Williston and 7.2 in Dickinson. It is also available on cable: Midcontinent Communications (channel 595), N.D. Television Co-op (channel 15), Beach Cable TV (channel 7.2) and BEK Communications (channel 7). The event is sponsored by the University of Mary and will also be streamed online at kfyrtv.com. KFYR News Director and anchor Monica Hannan will join Fr. Brian Gross to provide commentary during the ordination broadcast.
This year marks the second time a total of six men will be ordained to the diocesan priesthood on the same day. Deacons Patrick Cunningham (Minot), Joseph Evinger (New Hradec), Thomas Grafsgaard (Bismarck), Jared Johnson (Williston), Corey Nelson (Minot) and Robert Shea (Hazelton) will be ordained priests for the Bismarck Diocese at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck. With such a large number of men being ordained, this year’s ordination requires a ticket for admittance to the ordination Mass.
