Celebrating Priesthood Sunday Sept. 29

Saint John Vianney, the Patron of Priests says, "The priesthood is the love of the Heart of Jesus. When you see a Priest, think of our Lord Jesus Christ." Let us PRAY for all Priests today, Priesthood Sunday and every day to see their vocation as a blessing and strive to live out their calling to be CHRIST to all! Priesthood Sunday celebrated this year on Sept. 29, specifically honors priests, without whom the Mass could not be offered, and Sacraments could not be celebrated. Please make sure you thank and pray for your priests this weekend. PRIESTHOOD SUNDAY PRAYER: Gracious and loving God, we thank you for the gift of priests. Through them, we experience your presence in the sacraments. Help our priests to be strong in their vocation. Set their soul on fire with love for your people. Grant them the wisdom, understanding, and strength they need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Inspire them with the vision of your Kingdom. Give them the words they need to spread the Gospel. Allow them to experience joy in their ministry. Help them to become instruments of your divine grace. We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns as our Eternal Priest. Amen.
