Unwrap the mystery of the Shroud of Turin with nationally-known clergy/speaker Fr. Robert Spitzer.

The Jesuit, Fr. Spitzer, will present “New Scientific Access to Jesus’ Resurrection on the Shroud of Turin” during a public presentation on Tuesday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. following Mass at St. Mary’s Church in Bismarck.

His presentation will tackle the notion that many still believe that the Shroud of Turin was debunked by a carbon dating in 1988 indicating that it originated in the 15 ^th century. However, recent dating tests and other evidence have discredited that carbon dating. More strikingly, recent scientific investigations show not only remarkable correlations to Jesus’ unique crucifixion (from the blood stains), but also evidence for His glorious resurrection from the creation of the most unique image in the world. Fr. Spitzer will discuss this evidence on this most scientifically tested and illuminating relic—and much more.

About Fr. Spitzer

Fr. Robert Spitzer, S.J., Ph.D., is the founder and president of the Spitzer Center. A scholar, teacher, author, and seasoned leader, Fr. Spitzer is pre-eminently a theologian and philosopher. His other fields of expertise, however, include management science, finance, ethics, and physics.

A much sought-after speaker, Fr. Spitzer has personally conducted retreats and convocations for priests, deacons and educators in many dioceses across the United States. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1952, Fr. Spitzer entered the Society of Jesus in 1974, was ordained a priest on June 11, 1983, and took final vows April 4, 1992.
