Attend an upcoming showing of a new documentary on Servant of God Michelle Duppong titled “Radiating Joy: The Michelle Duppong Story" at the Grand Theatre in Bismarck on Friday, November 1st at 4:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., or 8:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend, though seats are limited to 296 per showing and tickets for the November 1st showing must be reserved online at the Michelle Duppong Guild website (https://michelleduppongcause.org) by clicking on the ‘Movie Registration’ tab. A trailer for the documentary can be viewed on the Guild website. Tickets will not be available at the theatre that evening.

Take the opportunity to stand up for the unborn at the N.D. March for Life on Friday, Oct. 11. The day begins with Mass celebrated by Bishop Kagan at 10:45 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, followed by a march to the N.D. capitol building steps and a rally. The rally is set to begin at 12:30 p.m. The event is a joint planning effort with the Bismarck Diocese, University of Mary and other entities which created the North Dakota Pro-Life Committee. The North Dakota March for Life is an annual event in October to coincide with Respect Life Month. Bishop Kagan will lead a holy hour on the eve of the N.D. March for Life on Thursday, Oct. 10 beginning at 6 p.m. in the main body of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit. The public is invited to attend.
The public is invited to the Red Mass on Monday, Oct. 14 at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit at 6 p.m. This Mass celebrates with those involved in the administration of justice—judges, attorneys, law professors, law students and government officials.
A remembrance Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Kagan on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 5:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit. All are welcome to attend, especially parents, grandparents and siblings who grieve the loss of a child resulting from miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion or early infant death. October is pregnancy and infant loss awareness month and Oct. 15 is designated nationally as pregnancy and infant loss remembrance day.
The public is invited to attend the Bismarck Diocese’s annual White Mass on Monday, Oct. 21 at 5:30 p.m. at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck. The special Mass honors healthcare professionals, active and retired.
The St. Thomas More Council #2760 from St. Joseph in Mandan will be holding their 9th Annual KC Festival on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Mandan Eagles. The KC Festival offers beer and wine tasting, food, including pulled pork and shredded beef, coleslaw, potato salad, beans and desserts, 50/50 raffle, silent auction and a live band. Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door. Proceeds from this event will benefit Saint Joseph Catholic Montessori School and School of The Holy Family. This fall, the St. Mary Sisters will be offering an extra-curricular catechism class for children ages 6 through 13 on Tuesdays from 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. at Ascension Parish’s upstairs classrooms. There is no set cost for these classes but a monthly donation to the St. Mary Sisters is requested to assist them in carrying out this work. All are invited to a series of evenings at the Church of Saint Anne in Bismarck called “Theology on Tap.” The adults-only events will be held on Friday nights starting at 7 p.m. in the parish garage (enter through the church east door or parish office). Three nights for women will be Sept. 27, Nov. 22 and March 28. The men’s nights are Oct. 25, Feb. 28 and April 25. The events are open to everyone ages 21 and over.
Search for Christian Maturity is a weekend retreat experience which provides youth an opportunity to think, talk, question and dive deeper into their faith. The weekends are for any high school or college age person at least 15 years old. The program is both rooted in the Catholic faith and open to young people of any denomination or creed. Search weekends are held five times throughout the year at the Badlands Ministries Camp just south of Medora. Cost for the weekend is $75. Partial scholarships are available. The public is invited to a talk on various topics every third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at Spirit of Life in Mandan. The presentation will last approximately an hour with an opportunity for Q&A to follow. The presentation will be in the main body of the church.
