The Office of Communications & Media Services is the official liaison between the Bismarck Diocese, its bishop and the public news media. The office is responsible for the publication of the Dakota Catholic Action, the official newspaper of the Bismarck Diocese, which is distributed to the homes of all registered parishioners monthly (except July). The staff of the Office of Communications also creates, manages and publishes diocese news briefs which comprise the Dakota Catholic Action Online. This and all online content is updated daily on the official website of the Bismarck Diocese: bismarckdiocese.com. The Office of Communications also maintains the social media presence of the Bismarck Diocese. The mission of the Office of Communications & Media Services is to foster a sense of interconnectivity within the Bismarck Diocese by publishing communication materials which inform, educate or inspire its members. The office also seeks to aid in the greater mission of the Bismarck Diocese, which is “to be ambassadors for Christ who live stewardship in word, sacrament and service” by reflecting these values in its published materials.
In order to accomplish its mission, the Office of Communications & Media Services seeks the assistance of individuals within the diocese to keep the office informed of special events or individuals which deserve recognition. Contact the diocese at [email protected] or 204-7190 whenever diocese media coverage is desired. Individuals or groups are also invited to submit content (writing and/or photos) which will be considered to be included in one of the previously mentioned diocesan publications.
