Diocese Chart of Accounts

Beginning July 1, 2013 parishes began using use the Diocese chart of accounts for their ledger and payables. The chart of accounts was established for consistency purposes so all parishes had a single set of accounts.

The links below provide you with the Diocese established statement of position (balance sheet) and statement of activities (income/expense) natural account numbers. There is a comments link which provides notes related to the intention and use of the accounts for typical parish income or expenses. There are also links showing the structure of the full account numbers and also important information on how to use alpha characters and properly build your easy reference, important “shortcut” numbers.

Lastly, there is a link to our web training document on our Diocesan chart of accounts, how to enter them, and build subaccounts for your use in your ParishSoft Ledger and Payables system.
