The Third Option marriage program expands to Minot

It’s always been his way or her way, but now the Catholic Diocese of Bismarck is offering The Third Option. After a successful kickoff in Bismarck-Mandan, the marriage program is expanding to Minot beginning June 6.

The Third Option helps couples who are discouraged about their marriage learn to handle anger more constructively, resolve conflicts and communicate more effectively. The Third Option not only provides a support group for married couples, but teaches new ways to handle old problems through a brief teaching and the sharing of mentor couples who have struggled, but made it through.

The group will meet for the first time on June 6 from 7-9 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church in Minot. Sessions will continue at Our Lady of Grace on the first and third Thursday of each month and will run for 14 sessions with a new topic offered at each session.
