BISMARCK, N.D. – Light of Christ Catholic Schools of Excellence (LOCCSE) has announced the appointment of Mr. Gerald Vetter as its interim superintendent as the search for a permanent superintendent continues. Vetter has worked in Bismarck Catholic schools for 24 years serving as a teacher, coach, assistant principal and presently director of advancement and development of LOCCSE.
It was also announced that Mr. Joe Harris is serving as chairman of the selection committee that will manage the ongoing search to fill the open superintendent position.
LOCCSE serves over 1,200 students in the Bismarck-Mandan area, making it the largest non-public school system in North Dakota. The system officially formed in 2012 when the four Catholic schools and five Catholic parishes in Bismarck joined to provide a unified Catholic education system. Today, LOCCSE consists of Cathedral of the Holy Spirit School, St. Anne School, St. Mary’s Elementary School, St. Mary’s Central High School and the newly formed 7th and 8th Grade Academy.
