The 10th Annual Seminarian Scholarship Golf Tournament hosted by the Catholic Foundation of Western North Dakota is Monday, June 17 at the Prairie West Golf Course in Mandan. The 7th Annual Serra Club of North Central North Dakota Big Smoke BBQ Competition is Sunday, June 23. Amateur pitmasters will face off at the Flickertail Gardens on the N.D. State Fair Grounds. Gates open at 3 p.m. Tickets can be purchased from Serra Club members, at the entrance door or by contacting Rob Lowe at 701-240-6063. Town and Country Celebration July 14 You are invited to the annual Town and Country Celebration on Sunday, July 14. The event will be held at the McCoy Family Home near Watford City. The day will begin with a blessing of land, animals and equipment at 11 a.m. followed with Mass celebrated by Bishop Kagan. All are invited to take part in lunch and entertainment after Mass. The event is hosted by Jake and McKenzie McCoy, with Fr. Jacob Degele and the parishioners of the Church of Epiphany in Watford City and Our Lady of Consolation in Alexander. Champion’s Ride is Aug. 3 Everyone’s invited to the 68th Champion’s Ride Match on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 1 p.m. (MT)—a premiere event with top ranked professional cowboys invited to ride the toughest saddle broncs in the region. The Champions Ride not only has a rich history of cowboys, but also as a major fundraiser for the organization, Home On The Range (HOTR). Cost is $20 for adults in advance or $25 at the gate and $13 for student tickets in advance or $15 at the gate.
